vaud® is an interactive audio system.
It can instantly create interactive audio spaces tailored to user actions on various audio output devices built in real spaces, as well as in virtual spaces such as games and VR.
vaud® consists of vaud Runtime, which dynamically generates audio spaces based on data and operations provided by the application, and vaud Studio, an authoring tool for constructing, previewing, and adjusting that data.
vaud Runtime can be operated in real time via a network from vaud Studio, enabling quick response to the creativity of sound designers.
vaud Studio has a variety of features for interactive performances.
From simple waveform playback to state transitions based on conditions, random playback, sound source animation, and more, sound designers can quickly build the space they want by combining a wide range of features.
vaud® can communicate with other applications and devices via OSC (OpenSound Control) and UDP (User Datagram Protocol).It can receive OSC from other applications and play something, or conversely, send OSC to control other applications.
This powerful and flexible connectivity enables performances that go beyond the boundaries of audio.
vaud® also comes with a tool called vaud Monitor that monitors the internal workings of vaud Runtime.
This allows you to visualize internal behavior, enabling real-time performance monitoring and debugging.
